Do not call by phone concerning applying
for assistance.
Send us an email request for assistance by clicking HERE
- If your dog has cancer
and you will not be able to provide treatment at all without financial
assistance
- If you have daily access to the Internet
and email
- If your dog is under 10 years of age
- Do not call by phone. Applications are
available only by sending an email.
Do NOT
write a long story! Include in your email ONLY the
following:
- Your name, address and phone
- Your dog's name, age and type of cancer
- Treatment already given for your dog's
cancer
- Treatment plan if known
- Name and phone of your veterinarian
- How many dogs and cats do you own in
addition to the one you want help for?
We will respond within a few days. If
your dog is a candidate for
assistance from the Magic Bullet Fund, we will then email you an
application.
* If your dog has a
tumor, please consult a board certified surgeon or oncologist before
allowing a surgical biopsy. Make every attempt to remove the
tumor with wide, clean margins the
first time, to avoid
second surgery with extensive, traumatic and expensive treatment.
There are many people in need of
assistance. Unfortunately, we can only
help a very limited number. Pursue other avenues, including the
following:
- Apply to
CareCredit www.CareCredit.com
- Apply
to the Citi
Healthcard http://www.healthcard.citicards.com
- Open a free account and a project at FirstGiving,
and email everyone you know the link with a request to make donations
to help your dog.
- Your friends and family may send funds to
help. It will be more comfortable for them to do this than to hand you
cash!
- If
you are accepted into the Magic Bullet Fund, the donations that come in
through FirstGiving will be directed to the Magic Bullet Fund and your
friends will be making tax deductible donations.
- Have a tag sale / garage sale or sell all
that stuff you no longer need at Ebay
- Apply for any resources you can find for
assistance.
- Ask your
veterinarian! Many clinics maintain a fund through which they help
clients in need of financial asistance for their dog's medical care.
- You may find help at
this web site: The Senior Dogs Project
- Or this one: www.imom.org/fa/others.htm
Without
spending a penny, here are some ways you can help the Magic
Bullet Fund grow, so that we will be able to help more dogs in the
future:
Click the paw below to print "In Tribute"
forms. Bring them to your veterinarian and ask them to donate a small
amount to the fund in memory of each patient they lose to cancer.

Tell your friends and family to sign up
at www.igive.com/MBF
right
now - it's free and it generates money for the fund!
