Dear
Laurie,
My name is Renee and my dog's name is Treana. Treana is a 4
year old St.
Bernard, I rescued her from a very irresponsible breeder when she was 5
months
old.
About 3 months ago Treana was diagnosed with lymphoma. I was
devastated. She is my baby, my friend, my family. She
is far too young and healthy for this to claim her life. I have gone
through
the ups and downs with chemo and she seems to be responding well to
doxorubicin.
Before your book I didn't realize all of my options. I began cooking
for her
and asking the right questions to my vets. Treana immediately started
doing
better.
As life sometimes plays a tough hand, I had lost my job a
week before her
treatments began. I have now sold everything I own and maxed out my
credit, including CareCredit. I will not stop fighting
for my girl. As long as she is happy and enjoying life, I will do
whatever I
can for her.
Treana has undergone several chemo protocols. Treana had a
few bad days with
the chemo but overall she is in great health. My vet advised me that
due to my
financial circumstances, coupled with the fact Treana has not stayed in
remission, we have come to "an end point." He advised me to stop
treatment
and enjoy the last few weeks with my dog. I sought out opinions from
other vets
and have received feedback in favor of continuing treatment.
Treana and I are in need of help. I truly believe that
Treana is not
finished fighting this disease and she has the will to continue
treatment. If
there is anything that your organization can do for us, I would be
forever
grateful.
Thank you for your inspiration and for telling your story -

I am
happy to report that Treana is on a new treatment,
seeing Dr. Alice Villalobos as you requested and doing fantastic.
Treana
was re-diagnosed with T cell lymphoma and we began an aggressive
protocol. With the proper supplements and fresh diet Treana is
healthy
and happy. With hopes she will go into remission and I will have
the
privilege of her company for a little longer.
Thank you for the hope, compassion, and understanding the
Magic Bullet Fund
has shown us.
Sincerely, Renee and Treana

Treana
is doing well, she has not had any reactions to the chemo at all.
Her
spirits are up and she loves the cool weather that we have been
having.
Her lymph nodes are large; however, they don't
seem to have gone down. Still her health seems great, we meditate
every
day together and say "thank you for healing me". I have banned
all talks of cancer in the house. If you focus on the cancer the
cancer
will come. We are focusing on health and well being! We have been
diligent about her supplements; she takes around
18 pills throughout the day. She is getting all the good stuff!

Dr.
Alice is wonderful.
Treana did not have the outcome that we had
hopped for. Dr.
Alice has a few more tricks up her sleeve, but
most likely it’s a T cell cancer and pretty
resistant. Because of the way that Dr. Alice has treated this I feel
ok; it’s
Dr. Alice did not charge me today, thank you. I asked for a
copy of the
records so that I know how much the fund is paying for. I want to begin
to pay
back the money that the fund spends on Treana. Once I get a job
that will
not be a problem.
Renee & Treana a world of difference from the other
situation I was in. I know that Treana does not have much time
but I am
thankful that she is feeling great right now.
