SOPHIE'S GUARDIAN ANGELS

This pretty little girl in Arkansas is only one and a half years old, but she is stealing hearts wherever she goes. The Swearingens couldn't afford the surgery that was recommended to rid Sophie of the cancer in her shoulder, so Sophie's mom, Jenny, applied to the Magic Bullet Fund for help.
Sophie won over yet another guardian angel the night of her surgery. Melissa Asher, veterinary assistant at Animal Emergency Cinic in Little Rock Arkansas, gave Sophie lots of TLC that night. The next day, Melissa called us to say that she will cover the hospital fee portion of Sophie's charges!

THANK YOU MELISSA!

POTSY
FEBRUARY'S BRAVE SPIRIT

Riley and Laurie"I feel as though I know all of the dogs we have helped and their families.
But there is nothing like holding a dog in my arms and knowing that this dog might not be here today if not for the Magic Bullet Fund, and that this person might not be standing there with a great big smile on their face and with eyes full of love."
Laurie Kaplan
If you have the 2007 Brave Spirits calendar on your wall, you know Potsy. He is the February dog! This brave and adorable dog had debulking surgery of a tumor - malignant melanoma - in January 2006 and then 6 radiation treatments.
Potsy did great for a whole year, and then the tumor reappeared. February 5, 2007 he had a second debulking surgery and March 13 yet another. We are now looking into two clinical trials that could help Potsy get just one more miracle.
