Nakkai had a nerve sheath tumor on her leg. The tumor was
surgically removed, and follow up radiation treatments were given by
Dr. Jayme Looper, at VCA Aurora IL.

 Nakkai is a 10-year-old Siberian Husky. She and her
sister Teja [same litter] have show dogs as biological parents. Now
these precious dogs have my heart. I never worried about Nakkai -
she was always healthy and never out grew the puppy stage. She is
always full of
kisses and tail wags.
When I felt the lump on Nakkai's leg, I was stunned, to say the least.
Our
vet Dr. Stevens did a surgical biopsy. CANCER. I was beside myself. I
started doing research and found
the Magic Bullet Fund. What heaven. Aunts Laurie and Phyllis at the
Magic Bullet Fund have helped and talked me through everything!
Laurie's book
helped me get Nakkai on home cooked food and oh boy, is she spoiled
now! She
loves fruit and vegetables. Orange fish oil cubes are her favorite,
although we will stop that since she will have radiation treatments
soon.
Nakkai's daddy, Rich, has been a great help with lifting her, dog
sitting and
emotional support for both of us. He loves his girl so much.
