You are emotionally overwhelmed and, as if this isn't stressful enough, you must quickly make some very important decisions with incomplete information.

There are many variables involved in choosing the right treatment to help a dog fight cancer. Your dog's doctor may inform you about treatment options and ask you to choose, or your doctor may simply choose a plan for you. But each dog is different and each cancer is different. You know your dog better than anyone and can play a role in choosing the treatment plan, diet, and a full home care regimen that works best for your dog and for you.

As administrator of the Magic Bullet Fund, I have provided guidance to more than 80 families to help them be an active participant in their dog's care.

I offer the same guidance, support, direction and "brainstorming" service to any family seeking to find the best way to help their dog fight cancer. We'll discuss what the diagnosis means and what treatment options are available. I will answer your specific questions, review your options, say what I would do if your dog was mine and help you decide which course of action, including treatment and home care, will work best for you and your dog.
